The city of Jasper has the only full time fire department within the county. Three stations serve the city with 27 full time personnel. The department has 3 engine companies, 1 aerial truck, and 1 rescue unit to handle fires of every type.

Walker County has volunteer fire departments within each of the other municipalities to provide service to the other areas within the county.
