Walker County Department of Public Health is located in
Jasper and administers a variety of health programs.
Programs include:
- Immunization
- Venereal Disease Prevention and Control
- Dental and Maternity Clinics
- General Health Care
- Family Planning and Counseling
- Certification, registration, and statistical
analysis of environmental and health standards are also a major
responsibility of the department.
The Mental Health Association
of Central Alabama serves the residents of Walker County.
The all volunteer, non-profit agency is dedicated to the concerns
and interests of people with mental health problems. |
